Monday: We kicked off our last week of pre-k with a fun unit on summer! We read Now It Is Summer by Eileen Spinelli and we discussed our summer plans. We talked briefly about the season of summer and when it is officially summer. For our project we created a Summer Bucket List with things we want to do, places we want to visit, and people we want to see this summer!

Tuesday: We continued talking about summer and summer time activities. We also read Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan London. Students enjoyed sharing their summer plans with our small groups. During project time, we wrapped up our amazing Summer Bucket Lists.

Wednesday: Today we enjoyed some messy art activities in the morning. We discussed the Rose Parade and many students left early for the parade.

Thursday: Today we enjoyed some fun games outside in a field day experience. We played water relay races, bean bag toss, and soccer shots!  We also enjoyed making some collage art and messy painting. In the afternoon the students got to look through their memory books and were excited to share them with their families. We hope you all appreciate all the growth that your child has made over the school year. They are amazing!

Friday: Today we counted down on the 100’s chart to our final day of Pre-K together! We had a celebratory cheer when we got to 1. We enjoyed extra choice time after our morning meeting and students shared their plans for the summer break. We also had a great time playing out in the field. Students enjoyed a generous snack of watermelon, apples, yogurt and graham crackers. We ended the day with a rock out dance party!

Gym Time with Teacher Mike:

We finished the year off with a bang! Summer was the theme and we played Mosquito Tag, Lifeguard Tag, had a great field day, got a little bit wet, and enjoyed are last week together as a class. Thank you to all the families for making this a wonderful year full of good times and good vibes! Have a great summer.
