***Please ask about our 6 and older camps*** Same themes, variations on games and art for age appropriate activities. You can use the same online sign up form. They will be located at Irvington Elementary school.
Summer Hours of operation: 7:30-5:30
Summer at IED is relaxed and fun, with plenty of time for outside play. Our camp will present an awesome new theme each week as we explore with activities, recipes and games from all over the globe. We will also learn some new songs, dance and play with water on hot summer days! In addition, children will have time to play in the gym, learn new sports and craft all summer long.
Activities are designed for Pre-K/Kindergarten aged children ages 4 & 5 (must be 4 years old by June 2017, in FT preschool and toilet trained). Healthy snacks will be offered two times a day.
Children are enrolled on a weekly basis. You may register for any week/s. In order to reserve a spot for your child, please register by May 1st, 2017. After that, registrations will be taken on a space available basis.
Week 1. Raiders of the lost Arts June 19-June 23. Summer camp begins! Our campers will explore some unusual forms of art popular in times past by creating paper Batiks, clay medallions and Tomtebod (Scandinavian trolls). We will also learn about paper marbling, tiles and tye-dying. On the field, we will be playing some classics like capture the flag, over under and relay races. For a treat this week, we will be making fresh berry jam and biscuits!
Week 2. Space Invaders June 26-June 30 Blast off with us this week into DEEP SPACE. Outside we will play wacky cosmos themed games like robot dancing and have moonwalk relays across the field. For crafts we will create some out of this world art projects like our own alien glow slime, blob-aliens, light up planets and glow in the dark necklaces. For snack we will make “exploding” star cookies!
Week 3. Brick Designs July 10-14 A week for Lego fans!! You will be developing your creative brick designing techniques, learning how to make bridges, zip lines, boats, wind powered cars and erupting volcanos! Outdoor games will be focused on some classics like SPUD, baseball, capture the flag and screaming Viking. We will do some other fun projects like tee-shirts, masks & silly Lego themed snacks!
Week 4. Welcome to the Jungle July 17-July 21 Lemurs and Leopards and sloths-oh my! Campers take a unique look at some fascinating creatures found in Costa Rica, Brazil and Madagascar. We will focus our art projects on jungle animals and reptiles like poison dart frogs, parrots, and snakes using cloth, clay and paper. We will also make some Pão de Queijo for a special snack Our time on the field will revolve around soccer!
Week 5. Secret Agents July 24-July 28 Week 5 we will be working together to solve some kid-friendly cases that have stumped the local authorities! We will make spy kits with fake passports & disguises creating our new secret agent identities. Kids will learn how to make a plaster cast, potions, and collect fingerprints. Outside we will be doing “fieldwork” tossing water balloons and practicing some spy moves with games like “smugglers” and “capture the bandit”.
Week 6. Fantastic Creatures July 31-August 4 Magical beasts take over Irvington this week! Our enchanted sunny summer mornings will find us outside playing for games like hippogriff’s nest, dragon tag and unicorn relay. Later, we will be crafting awesome projects like dragon eyes, wands, unicorn puppets and phoenix masks. For snack we will make edible unicorn horns and mer-people aquariums.
Week 7. Pet-Stravaganza August 7-August 11 Welcome pet lovers! This week we celebrate our furry friends (either real or stuffies) with games & arts. Outside games include barnyard, fetch and cross the stream. For our creative projects we will make cat toys, pet jellyfish, hamster mansions and collars. We also will have a “stuffie adoption” and learn about pet care. For special snack we will eat pup-cakes.

- Weekly Tuition: $245.00. There is no part-time option.
- Upon receipt of this registration sheet, IED will send a packet for you to fill out and return
- All registration paperwork and fees must be completed and returned to IED before a child’s place will be held. Tuition over $500 may be split into 2-4 payments. 1 will be due at time of registration, 1 due by May 15th
- All tuition is due by camp start
- If you register and pay all tuition before April 1st, you may take an additional $15 off the weekly fee.
- If you register 5 or more weeks and pay all tuition before April 1st, you may take another $5.00 (total of $20) off the weekly fee.
Please note the following:
- We cannot pro-rate weekly tuition based on attendance.
Refund Policy: Cancellations must be submitted in writing (mail, e-mail). Each camp registration is held to a $50
cancellation fee. If you cancel 14 business days or less prior to when your camp week starts, no
amount will be refunded.
- We cannot refund tuition based on non-attendance.
- The main activity hours are between 9:30-4:30
- There is no fee to switch camps if one is available.
